it’s important to understand our culture and
to know how we can love others and honor God

here are some ways we are navigating difficult issues with both truth and mercy

  • Pastor Eric's Preaching

We have collected a sampling of sermons over the last several years on a number of very difficult and often divisive topics. Pastor Eric seeks to address each topic by first understanding the issue as best we can, and then applying God’s Word following the example of Jesus who was both full of grace and truth (John 1:14). These sermons are also available on our YouTube channel where we have created a few playlists.

  • Elders Statement on Human Sexuality (October 2023)

Our beliefs flow from our commitment to God and His Word expressed in our Statement of Faith.  We hold to a Christian worldview – we believe what God has revealed in the Bible about Himself, humanity and the world is true.  We strive to imitate Jesus, who was full of both grace and truth.  We acknowledge others do not share our worldview and know the Christian sexual ethic can seem radical to other worldviews.

  • EFCA Affirmations & Denials

We believe the good news of the Kingdom of God, announced and embodied by Jesus, is the ultimate and final solution to the problems of this world. As we interact with one another and the world around us, we are committed to convictional kindness, we both proclaim the gospel and seek to live in a manner worthy of the gospel. Loving God and loving neighbor requires us to seek the welfare of our community, which we are committed to.

  • Elders Statement on Race (June 2020)

The Bible teaches every human life is valuable, and because we are made in God’s image we have higher value than anything else in creation (Genesis 1:26-27).  Every man, woman and child is equal in dignity, value and worth – and God is serious about upholding our value as His image bearers (Genesis 9:5-6, James 3:9).

As followers of Jesus we acknowledge and take seriously the 2nd greatest command, to love our neighbor in the same way we love ourselves (Mark 12:30-31) this informs how we view each other.
